You can bring your vehicle to Autohaus Ballout for its German periodic roadworthiness inspection (HU). TÜV HANSE carries out the inspection at our premises. We help you arrange an appointment and explain which information and documents you need before your visit.

Have your vehicle details and documents ready
For the inspection, bring the original vehicle registration certificate Part I. Technical modifications or certain fitted accessories may require additional documents, such as a General Operating Permit (ABE) or a modification approval certificate.
If the emissions inspection has already been carried out separately, bring the corresponding certificate. Please also tell us about any known vehicle issues so we can prepare for your visit.
A quick check of the lights, tyres and windscreen wipers can help identify obvious problems early. Preparation does not replace the inspection or guarantee a new inspection sticker.

On which days can I have my HU/AU inspection?
Inspections take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please request your preferred appointment in advance. Your booking is only confirmed once you receive our confirmation.
How much does HU/AU cost at Autohaus Ballout?
The total price for the HU/AU service is €150. For Euro 6 diesel vehicles, it is €160. Please provide your vehicle details when enquiring so we can confirm which service applies. Any additional work is discussed separately.
Which documents should I bring?
Bring the original vehicle registration certificate Part I. Depending on the vehicle, documents for technical modifications or fitted accessories may also be required. If the emissions inspection has already been carried out separately, bring the corresponding certificate as well.
How do I request an appointment online?
Open our workshop appointment form and select TÜV/AU as the required service. Enter your vehicle details and preferred appointment date. We will contact you to agree and confirm the arrangements.
Will my vehicle automatically receive a new inspection sticker?
No. Whether a new sticker is issued depends on the inspection result. If relevant defects are found, the inspection report sets out the required next steps.
Can I discuss known issues beforehand?
Yes. Please mention any known issues when requesting your appointment. We can discuss whether a separate check or repair before the inspection would be helpful. Additional work is agreed separately.
